Getting Started

What you’ll need

  • Telegram account (free)
  • 2 minutes of time
  • HAPP app (free) for your device

That’s it. No email registration, no complicated settings, no crypto wallet.

Step 1: Install HAPP

HAPP is the app that connects you to SideLinQ. Pick your platform:

Just install it like any normal app. It’s tiny and fast.

Step 2: Get your connection key

  1. Open Telegram
  2. Find @SideLinQ_bot
  3. Tap “Connect”
  4. You’ll see a key that looks like: happ://crypt5/...
  5. Copy it entirely (don’t leave anything out)

That key is what connects you. It’s unique to your account and tied to your Telegram ID.

Step 3: Import the key into HAPP

  1. Open HAPP (the app you installed)
  2. Look for a + button or “Add config” option
  3. Tap “Paste from clipboard” (it will auto-detect your key)
  4. The app will show your config — just confirm it

Now you should see a list of servers. HAPP automatically picks the best one for you.

Step 4: Connect

  1. Tap the power button (⏻) in HAPP
  2. You’ll see a “connecting…” state for a few seconds
  3. Once it’s connected, your entire internet traffic goes through SideLinQ

That’s it. You’re done.

How to know it’s working

  • The power button should be lit/green
  • Websites should load normally
  • If you check your IP on a site like whatismyipaddress.com, it will show a different country

First time setup issues?

“Copy” button not working? — Use your browser’s address bar to copy the key manually.

App won’t import the key? — Make sure you copied the entire key (it’s long, starts with happ://).

Connection drops? — HAPP automatically reconnects when your network changes. If it keeps dropping, check your Telegram connection.
