System requirements

• Windows XP SP3 or newer (including Windows 10, 11, and Server editions)
• Administrator access (to install)
• Internet connection (obviously)

That’s it. No special drivers, no bloatware.

Download HAPP

Download HAPP setup for Windows 64-bit

(If you have a 32-bit Windows, contact support — we have a 32-bit version too.)

Installation

1. Run the setup-Happ.x64.exe file you downloaded
2. Windows might show a SmartScreen warning — click “More info” then “Run anyway” (this is normal for unsigned installers)
3. Let it install to the default location
4. The app will launch automatically when done

If installation fails, make sure you have admin rights. Right-click the installer and choose “Run as administrator.”

Get your connection key

1. Open Telegram
2. Find @SideLinQ_bot
3. Press “Connect”
4. You’ll see a long key starting with happ://crypt5/
5. Copy the entire key — don’t miss any part

Import the key into HAPP

1. HAPP is now running (check your taskbar, near the clock)
2. Click the HAPP window to bring it to focus
3. Look for a + button or “Add Configuration”
4. Click “Paste from clipboard” — it will auto-detect your key
5. The app shows your configuration — review it and confirm

If HAPP doesn’t see the key in your clipboard, try:

• Go back to Telegram and copy the key again
• Paste it into Notepad first to verify it copied correctly
• Then copy from Notepad into HAPP

Connect

1. Click the ⏻ (power) button in HAPP
2. Watch the status change from “Disconnected” to “Connecting” to “Connected”
3. Once connected, your entire internet traffic is routed securely
4. Right-click the HAPP icon in the taskbar and you’ll see it says “Connected”

That’s it. Every website you visit, every app you use, now goes through SideLinQ.

Verify it’s working

1. Open a web browser
2. Go to whatismyipaddress.com or ipleak.net
3. You should see an IP address from a different country than yours
4. Compare this IP to what you saw when SideLinQ was OFF — it should be different

Managing your connection

Switch servers

HAPP automatically picks the best server for you. To change it:

1. In HAPP, click the server name (shows which one you’re on)
2. Choose a different region
3. It reconnects automatically

Turn it off temporarily

Click the power button (⏻) again to disconnect. Your real IP will be visible again.

Exit the application

Right-click the HAPP icon in the taskbar and choose “Exit.” Your connection ends immediately.

Troubleshooting

Windows Firewall blocks it

If you see a security warning:

1. Click “Allow” when Windows Firewall asks
2. Check “Private networks” (your home WiFi)
3. You can leave “Public networks” unchecked
4. Click OK

It connects but websites are very slow

Try switching to a different server:

1. Click the server name in HAPP
2. Try a server closer to you geographically
3. Or pick one in a different region and see if it’s faster

It disconnects when I close the window

HAPP minimizes to the taskbar, not to the tray. To keep it running:

1. Click the X button (it goes to taskbar)
2. Leave HAPP running in your taskbar
3. If you want to fully close it, right-click and choose “Exit”

Antivirus warns me

HAPP is safe, but some antivirus software (especially older versions) may flag it. This is normal for any privacy tool. You can add HAPP to your antivirus whitelist or disable the warning.
